Tag a Day project #11 and winner of Distress Paints giveaway

Hello everyone and welcome to followers and visitors old and new!! Two posts in one today.

First up Tag 11:

Those of you that have been here before know that this is the penultimate tag in this project. Just for a change, I'll give you a quick step by step so you can see a bit of how I got here (and my extremely well worn and dirty craft sheet lol)
I adhered some tissue paper and other scraps (lace, tissue tape, swirl die cuts, hessian, cheese cloth) to my size 10 tag using gel medium.
Next I added flowers and various metal embellishments (again using a ton of gel medium), and when it was dry (leaving it over night) covered it all with a thick layer of Gesso.
I then used several different sprays in soft pinky colours (some Tattered Angels and some home made with perfect pearls and Tattered Rose re-inker mixed with water in a mini mister) and sprayed it all over the tag, but slightly more concentrated over my embellishment clusters.
Next I added a little bit of Dylusions in Melted Chocolate and Black Marble carefully and toned it down with some White Linen. And finally I used a paint brush and some Tattered Angels Coffee, to darken around the embellishment and make them pop a bit more.
Here are some close ups:

The final step was to add some chit chat stickers and shade around a bit with some charcoal pencil and some background stamping with a Prima stamp. I also added a few highlights with Treasure Gold White Fire.

Hello Astrid
Great Tag, and great colour palette, it is muted and soft and very feminine, the secret is obviously your patience; leaving your project to dry overnight,I must try to do that sometime! I attack my mixed media designs all at once which is not always successful. Thanks for the tutorial.
Smiles:)

Just got a whole lot of new stamps from a brilliant place called the Stamp Smith. This is the image that I first saw on Docraft and really liked. I asked the friend who has used it in an ATC, where she got it. Well she borrowed it from a friend who got it from ebay as a one off. But.... it had a title. I googled the title, and hey presto found the site. They have great stamps and offer a really friendly fast service. I highly recommend them!
